The Evergreen Galleries were established early in The Evergreen State College’s history. Sid White, a founding faculty member, facilitated the establishment of the Galleries and in 1972 organized the first exhibit. Sid became the Gallery Director in 1978 and remained as director until 1990, at which time, Peter Ramsey became the Director.
